Worship
From the ancient psalms to the heartfelt anthems of today, this art form uniquely lifts our hearts and minds to encounter His presence.
Worship. As people, we can't help but worship something. A hobby, a celebrity, a significant other, or even our families can become idols in our lives. Our culture is full of worship and we believe that it's no mistake that much of our worship is focused on the "artists." The Sanctuary Worship ministry aims to keep the focus on the only One worthy of worship - the One who gave us art as an expression.
Though our most frequent expression of congregational worship is through music, we believe that God created the "Arts" for His glory. In centuries past, paintings of all sizes and styles were commissioned by the Church to draw people's eyes off themselves and focus them on the One who is greater. In modern society, the tools and expressions have expanded, but whether it's a video camera, a guitar, an actor, a virtual paintbrush, or a real one, we believe God is calling the Arts back from the world... to the Church.
If you feel called to use your musical gifts to serve God and lead others into His presence, we invite you to join us. For more details on how to get involved, email Nic Iacovetti.
